Aslı Öztrak – Expert Child and Adolescent Psychologist
Our Founder

During my early years, I frequently engaged in role-playing as a “teacher”. As I matured, my inclination towards aiding others grew, leading me to pursue a career in psychology. I earned my undergraduate degree from Koç University Psychology Department with distinction, followed by a master’s degree in Child and Adolescent Mental Health from King’s College London.
Upon completing my academic studies, I discovered that play is the most effective means of communication with children.
I underwent training in various play therapy modalities, including Child-Centered Play Therapy, Filial Play Therapy, Developmental Contact Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Play Therapy, Experiential Play Therapy, and Theraplay. During this time, I became aware of the vital importance of play in facilitating a child’s emotional, cognitive, social, and language development.
During my postgraduate studies in the UK, I had the opportunity to observe the importance given to early childhood interventions.
After returning to Turkey, I conducted special education sessions for individuals with learning difficulties, ADHD, and autism for three years, based on the training and experiences I had gained. Throughout this period, I noticed the lack of early intervention practices in Turkey and decided to continue my work in this direction, leading to the establishment of Nuppu. Nuppu is more than just a playgroup; it’s a space for joy and growth, a parent-child development center.
In Nuppu’s second year, with my team, we started offering our little ones a small nursery experience through the Şefkatle Ayrılma Programı, and we introduce a gradual process of separation from their caregivers. The Nuppu Toddler project originated from the experiences acquired through the Şefkatle Ayrılma Programı. It aims to cultivate a nurturing environment reminiscent of home, ensuring both our young buds and their families feel secure and supported, providing education in English through a child-centered holistic approach.
